A driver was transported to the Dallas County Hospital early Saturday after sustaining minor injuries when her vehicle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 144 north of Perry and struck a tree.
The incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. in the 100 block of 335th Street in Boone County.
The four-door passenger vehicle sustained significant front-end damage when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a tree, coming to rest on the north side of the state highway.
The incident is under investigation.
The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas County EMS and Boone County Sheriff’s office responded.
