The collision occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on 240th Street (Iowa Highway 44) near K Avenue (County Road P58).

The circumstances of the crash are unknown at this hour.

Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage, and both came to rest in the south ditch of the state highway.

The truck appeared to be hauling a piano in its bed at the time of the collision, and parts of the instrument could be seen strewn along the roadway.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Minburn First Responders, Minburn Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded.
