A passenger vehicle left the roadway in the 17100 block of Iowa Highway 141 west of Perry Thursday shortly before 4 p.m., careening down the steep ditch and coming to rest in a farm field on the north side of the highway.
The vehicle’s airbags deployed.
One person sustained minor injuries in the mishap and was transported to Dallas County Hospital by the Dallas County EMS.
The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County Sheriff’s office also responded.
The cause of the vehicle’s leaving the roadway is under investigation at this hour.
