After mobilizing last September at the Perry Elementary School, the Food Bank of Iowa drive-though Mobile Food Pantry returns Saturday, March 28 from 9-10:30 a.m. to the Crossroads Church, 2810 First Ave. in Perry.
The Food Bank of Iowa is coordinating closely with the volunteer team at Crossroads Church to ensure health safety precautions are in place for the volunteers and recipients. The following rules will apply:
• Drive-through service only.
• No-contact registration.
• Cars will be numbered as they arrive.
• No one is allowed out of their vehicle.
• Food will be placed in vehicles by volunteers.
“It’s up to all of us to slow the spread of COVID-19,” said a Food Bank of Iowa spokesperson. “Everyone, including young and healthy people, should avoid large gatherings during this time. Stay up-to-date with public health guidelines from cdc.gov.”
