More charges were filed Friday against a Perry man arrested Wednesday after fleeing the scene of a routine traffic stop in Minburn and being tasered by Dallas County Deputies.[wpedon id=”82220″ align=”center”]
Manuel Ochoa, 27, of 1716 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested Wednesday on charges of speeding, driving while license suspended, carrying weapons, interference with official acts, no insurance and on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation on an original charge of controlled substance violation.
Additional charges filed Friday against Ochoa were fourth-degree theft, controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.
“He was charged with items that were found during a search of his vehicle,” Dallas County Chief Deputy Sheriff Adam Infante said Monday. “Beynd that I’m not going to make any other comment. It’s an ongoing investigation at this point.”
Ochoa is being held in the Dallas County Jail on $30,000 bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Dallas County District Court May 25.
