The Children’s Department of the Perry Public Library is introducing a new curriculum in the Wee Wonders storytime: Mother Goose on the Loose, a fun-filled 30-minute interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers.
“Mother Goose on the Loose is a book-based library activity that uses flannel board characters, puppets, nursery rhymes, fingerplays and songs,” said Perry Public Library Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel. “It integrates elements of child development, storytime practices and early literacy skills in a fun environment.”
Each family attending the Wee Wonders storytime will receive a free book as well as handouts pertaining to young families. Wee Wonders is for families with infants through 17 months, and it meets on Thursdays at 10:30 am.
Families may register for Wee Wonders storytime by calling 465-3569 or emailing email@example.com.
