Motor vehicle crash east of Bouton brings response Tuesday

A car sustained significant front-end damage in a collision on Iowa Highway 141 east of Bouton early Tuesday.

A car crash left Iowa Highway 141 strewn with debris east of Bouton early Tuesday.

It is unclear at this hour whether the accident resulted in injuries, but public safety radio traffic possibly indicated the Dallas County EMS transported a patient to the MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

The crash occurred about 12:15 a.m. in the 25700 block of Iowa Highway 141 near Quinlan Avenue.

The vehicle sustained serious front-end damage and came to rest in the eastbound lanes of the state highway. Debris from the collision was scattered for about one-eighth mile behind the vehicle.

The circumstances of the mishap are unknown at this hour, but the Dallas County Sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.

The Perry Police Department, Bouton Volunteer Fire Department and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
