The two-vehicle collision occurring about 6:45 p.m. Thursday on Iowa Highway 141 at Iowa Street in Perry, as first reported by ThePerryNews.com, resulted in three citations issued to an out-of town motorist and a Perry woman transported to the hospital.

The vehicles collided when Naga Konduru of 11615 Davenport Plaza, Omaha, Neb., driving a 2001 Toyota Avalon, ran a stop sign and entered the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141.

While crossing the westbound lanes, Konduru’s vehicle was struck by a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Elizabeth Sass of 1520 Willis Ave., Perry.

Sass was transported to the Dallas County Hospital with minor injuries.

Konduru was issued citations by the Perry Police Department for driving without a valid driver’s license, failure to yield to a stop sign and a right of way, according to a Perry Police Department spokesperson.

 

The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the mishap.
