Multiple injuries to children and adults were sustained in a head-on collision Tuesday night south of Perry.
The two-car accident occurred about 9:45 p.m. on J Avenue (County Road P58) between 150th Street and K Trail.
One vehicle came to rest pointing northward in the southbound lane on J Avenue, and the other vehicle came to rest pointing southward on the shoulder of the northbound lane of J Avenue.
One minor victim has been transported to Bank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines by Dallas County EMS and at least one adult has been transported to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines by Dallas County EMS.
The circumstances of the collision are under investigation at this hour by the Iowa State Patrol and the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders and Perry Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
