A West Des Moines man was arrested Wednesday for probation violation after allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face on Valentine’s Day.
Damarion Keith Napoleon, 25, of 4701 Pleasant St., West Des Moines, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for violation of probation on original charges of third-degree burglary.
According to court records, Napoleon was at a Court Avenue nightclub in Des Moines at about 2:15 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, when police allegedly saw “Napoleon punch the female victim in the face with a closed fist,” according to court records.
He was arrested Sunday by the Des Moines Police Department on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.
Napoleon’s probation status stemmed from a 2018 conviction for third-degree theft in connection with the theft of about $1,100 in merchandise from a retail clothing store.
Napoleon is held in the Dallas County Jail without bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Feb. 19 in Dallas County District Court.
