Some 483 Perry customers of Alliant Energy are still without electrical power at 7 a.m. Sunday, according to the company’s online outage map.

Among the customers affected are the Dallas County Hospital, which is operating off its backup generator. Power loss in the Kading Properties in east Perry is affecting 88 Alliant customers, and 44 customers in the Perry Park Apartments are also without electricity.

The estimated time of restoration is 10 a.m. Sunday. The current temperature in Perry is 15 degrees.

Power was lost Saturday about 10:20 p.m. during the blizzard conditions in Perry.

Alliant Energy advises customers not to use candles for lighting because of the risk of fire. Customers should unplug as many appliances as possible. This will prevent damage from a power surge when power is restored, the company advises.
