Eight students in the Adel-De Soto-Minburn Community School District tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, over the holiday break, ADM Superintendent Greg Dufoe announced Monday.
In addition, one ADM High School student tested positive Monday, Jan. 4, Dufoe said.
Two persons were quarantined as close contacts of the infected students.
The ADM Community School District had about 1,900 students enrolled in 2019, with about 500 in the high school. The district’s ongoing virus-mitigation strategies can be reviewed on the ADM dashboard.
