While Perry is expected to approve a possible cross country sharing agreement with W-G, the Hawks will not make a formal decision on what route they will take until next month.

The Perry Community School District Board of Education is expected to approve a sharing agreement with Woodward-Granger that would allow Hawk cross country runners in grades 7-12 to compete as members of the Perry teams this season.

What is not yet certain is that Woodward-Granger will decide to take advantage of Perry’s acceptance.

As reported in ThePerryNews.com, W-G had been sharing cross country with Madrid, but a decision to stop hosting Hawk harriers was made by the Tigers after last season.

W-G has asked both Perry and Johnston to enter into a sharing agreement as they seek to explore all possible options, including beginning their own program. A formal decision regarding what final course to take will not be made until the May meeting of the W-G school board.

ThePerryNews.com regrets any confusion regarding the situation and will provide further information as it becomes available.
