A Dodge Caravan with two occupants was badly damaged when it collided with a Ford pickup about noon Thursday on Iowa Highway 141 at the intersection of I Court.

No injuries but significant property damage occurred Thursday about noon when two vehicles collided on Iowa Highway 141 south of the Tyson Fresh Meats factory near Perry.

A two-vehicle collision on Iowa Highway 141 at I Court south of the Tyson Fresh Meats plant in Perry caused no injuries but produced a heap of twisted wreckage Thursday about noon.

An older model Ford pickup truck collided with a Dodge Caravan occupied by two person, causing extensive damage to the front of the Dodge and tearing the rear bumper off the pickup.

The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident, which left the Dodge in the ditch on the northwest corner of the intersection.

There were apparently no injuries, according to authorities on scene.

The cause of the mishap is under investigation at this hour.
