A driver escaped unharmed when her vehicle struck a guardrail in the median of Iowa Highway 141 at the Woodward interchange about 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
The solo driver was in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the median and struck the guardrail around the pillar supporting the Iowa Highway 210 overpass.
The vehicle proceeded westward for several hundred yards before coming to a rest in the travel portion of the highway.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident, which remains under investigation.
