Perry Mayor John Andorf, left, and PCSD Superintendent Clark Wicks, right, will present a special program at the Wednesday, Jan. 9 meeting of the MCB Wednesday Fellowship group. The notable Perry figures are seen here in their roles as members and friends of the Perry Optimist Club, joining fellow Optimists Linda Andorf and Ned Menke last June in working the concession stand at an Iowa Cubs baseball game as part of the Optimists' fundraising efforts.

The McCreary Community Building’s Wednesday Fellowship meal will not be served Jan. 2 due to the New Year holiday, but the Wednesday, Jan. 9 event will begin at 11 a.m. — half-an-hour earlier than usual — thanks to a special double-header program planned for diners.

Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks will discuss the school bond referendum that will come before district voters in February for the construction of additions to the Perry High School.

Perry Mayor John Andorf will review the city’s accomplishments in 2018 and look forward to continuing progress and ongoing projects.

The special program will last from 11 a.m. until noon, with dinner following in the MCB gymnasium.

The Wednesday Fellowship meals will be served at their usual noon hour Jan. 16, Jan. 23 and Jan. 30.

For more information, call the MCB at 515-465-5621.
