The Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma celebrated their December meeting with a “No-Bake Bake Sale” to fund the $500 scholarships they award annually.

Not quite ready to ignore their baking skills, members brought cookies for a cookie exchange. Extra cookies were placed in gift boxes to be given to employees at the Hotel Pattee, the Perry Library, the Police Department, the Dallas County Hospital, the Dallas County EMS and Team Tough, an outreach program for the homeless.

Applicants for the Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter scholarships must have graduated from a high school in Dallas County or be a current resident of Dallas County and must be majoring in a B.S. or B.A. program in education.

The deadline for scholarship applications is April 1, 2023.

For more information or to receive an application form, contact Deb Irving at 641-524-5278 and 515-238-9660 or debtaylorirving@gmail.com. Applicants will be notified of the scholarship committee decisions in May 2023.

The Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society is an international organization honoring women educators. Members of Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter are active or retired educators in Dallas County.
