DES MOINES — The Perry girls won their third consecutive game with a 7-0 victory over Des Moines North in non-conference soccer action Tuesday.

Senior Natalie Martinez continued her torrid pace, scoring five goals after establishing a new school record with seven goals Friday. She now has 15 goals in the four games the Jayettes (3-1) have played this season.

Sophomore Kailey Crawford has also emerged as an offensive threat and added two goals to the Perry total Tuesday, lifting her season mark to four.

Martinez needed just over two minutes to record her first goal against the Polar Bears. Perry then scored four times in a 5 minute, 35 second span, with Martinez scoring off an Esveidy Hernandez assist, off a Jazmin Hernandez assist and then with an unassisted goal before Crawford bulged the net with an unassisted strike.

A Martinez goal in the 34th minute lifted Perry to a 6-0 lead at the intermission.

Crawford beat the keeper in the 45th minute to cap the scoring and create the 7-0 final margin.

The Jayette junior varsity was also victorious Tuesday, with Lexie Welch scoring the only goal of the game. Carly Anderson had one save for Perry in recording the shutout.

Perry will return to Raccoon River Conference play with a pair of home matches next week. Bondurant-Farrar visits Dewey Field April 16, with Boone the visitor April 18.
