Ogden Police Department Public Service Announcement: The new 35 mph speed zone is in effect from Division Street to south of the U.S. Highway 30 overpass. There is a Your Speed radar at south side of bridge coming north into town.

October 3, 2016

  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist at Howe Elementary School.
  • An officer spoke to a subject regarding a property dispute.
  • An officer spoke to a subject regarding a civil matter at 219 E. Elm St.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a domestic dispute at 618 170th St.
  • An officer checked on a residence in the 500 block of N. First Street that was unsecured.
  • An officer removed a large box from the roadway in the 300 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a reckless driver on Old Highway 30 between Boone and Ogden. The officer was unable to locate the car.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of suspicious activity.

October 4, 2016

  • An officer investigated a complaint of a possible trespasser at the Ogden Manor.
  • An officer investigated a second complaint of a possible trespasser at the Ogden Manor.
  • An officer assisted a subject with a juvenile matter.
  • An officer checked an unsecured residence.
  • An officer investigated suspicious activity at the Ogden High School. The complaint was referred to the Des Moines Police Department, where the incident may have taken place.
  • An officer received a complaint of cats at large in the 600 block of W. Cherry Street.
  • An officer assisted an attorney regarding a civil matter.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a subject having medical problems at 1294 Jade Place.

October 5, 2016

  • An officer investigated a complaint of a subject shooting a bow in town and damaging a house in the 400 block of N. First Street.
  • An officer picked up a loose dog in the 300 block of W. Walnut Street.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a traffic stop at C Avenue and U.S. Highway 30.

October 6, 2016

  • An officer responded to the Lucky Pig for an intrusion alarm.
  • An officer received a complaint of a loose dog.

October 7, 2016

  • An officer investigated a complaint of suspicious activity in the 600 block of W. Division Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a reckless driver on U.S. Highway 169 south of Ogden.  The officer located the vehicle, and the driver was okay.
  • An officer investigated a breaking and entering into a residence at 201 S.W. Fifth St.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of debris in the road in the 800 block of U.S. Highway 30.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a two-vehicle accident at L Avenue and 216th Street.
  • An officer checked on a suspicious person in the 900 block of G Avenue.

October 8, 2016

  • An officer responded to 414 N.E. Fourth St. for a breaking and entering in progress. The officer arrested Adam Winger for alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
  • An officer checked on an open door at a residence in the 200 block of S.W. Fifth Street.
  • An officer investigated harassment in the 100 block of W. Veteran Drive.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a traffic stop in the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 169.

October 9, 2016

  • An officer handled a parking complaint in the 200 block of W. Sycamore Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a break in at Ogden Mini Storage.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy with a domestic at 211 Carlson St. in Pilot Mound.
  • An officer assisted a subject with a child-custody issue at 607 N.W. Seventh St., #1.
