The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Des Moines has issued its hazardous weather outlook for the Perry area, forecasting the possibility of non-severe thunderstorms from Saturday night through Sunday night.
Sunday will also see north to northwesterly winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts sometimes reaching 50 mph.
Thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening could be strong, the NWS said.
Along with Dallas County, the hazardous weather advisory applies in Marshall, Tama, Polk, Jasper, Cass, Adair, Madison, Warren, Adams, Union, Clarke, Taylor and Ringgold counties.
