One man is in custody Wednesday night on suspicion of OWI after he crashed the vehicle he was driving in downtown Perry.

One man is in custody Wednesday night on suspicion of OWI after he crashed the vehicle he was driving in downtown Perry.

A caller reported the one-vehicle mishap shortly before 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Second and Lucinda streets.

No injuries were reported.

The circumstances of the accident are unknown at this hour, but the passenger vehicle appeared to sustain significant damage to the front driver’s side.

The driver, who has not been identified at this hour, was taken into custody by officers of the Perry Police Department.

The Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS also responded.
