A motorist was injured when her vehicle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 east of Dawson Saturday night and came to rest in deep snow in the south ditch, making the victim’s extrication difficult in the sub-zero weather.
The victim was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS from the scene in the 13700 block of 141st Street.
The circumstances of the mishap, reported about 8:15 p.m., are under investigation at this hour by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
The Perry First Responders and Perry Volunteer Fire Department Dawson Station also responded.
