One person was injured about 5:30 a.m. Friday when a passenger car collided with a semi-tractor trailer on Iowa Highway 141 east of Bouton.

One person was injured about 5:30 a.m. Friday when a passenger car collided with a semi-tractor trailer on Iowa Highway 141 east of Bouton.

The injured person was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by the Dallas County EMS.

The car sustained significant front-end damage and came to rest in the westbound lanes in the 14500 block of Iowa Highway 141, slowing morning commuters to the Tyson Fresh Meats factory in Perry and other points west.

The truck came to rest facing southward on an access road on the north side of the highway.

The incident is under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

The Perry Police Department, Bouton First Responders and Bouton Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
