One juvenile was arrested and five released Friday about 7 p.m. by officers of the Perry Police Department after the youths were observed stashing a black back pack in a bean field near 16th and North streets.

Officers of the Perry Police Department stopped and questioned half-a-dozen juvenile males Friday about 7 p.m. after the youths were observed stashing a black backpack in a beanfield near 16th and North streets in Perry.

Following a brief investigation, a 13-year-old boy from Perry was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The other boys were sent on their way.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
