One PHS student tests positive Friday; nine quarantined

Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks announced Saturday that one Perry High School student tested positive for COVID-19 Friday, Oct. 30.

All students and families in contact with this student have been notified, Wicks said, and nine students will be quarantined for 14 days in conformity with direction from Dallas County Public Health.

Wicks said that all other students can attend classes as normal.

In 2019 the Perry Community School District had an enrollment of 1,676 in three buildings.
