Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks has announced that one Perry High School student and one Perry High School staff member tested positive Tuesday for SARS-CoV-2, the virus causes COVID-19.
In addition, four close contacts of the student and staff member were placed in quarantine, Wicks said. He said that all students and families in contact with the student and staff member have been notified, and all other students can attend classes as normal.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus has infected 57 students and 20 staff members since classes began Aug. 19 in the PCSD, according to communications from the PCSD. The list of cases follows.
