A motor vehicle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 east of Bouton early Saturday and struck a power pole before coming to rest in a corn field.

The one-vehicle rollover crash occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 near R Avenue.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, according to public safety radio traffic. The identity and condition of the driver are unknown at this hour.

Tire tracks were visible on the north shoulder of the westbound lanes, and the sheared power pole could be seen lying in the north ditch. The vehicle came to rest about 20 yards north of the state highway.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Perry Police Department, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded.
