A pickup truck came to rest upside down about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday on Deer Avenue just north of 330th Street in Boone County.

The solo driver was apparently uninjured in the one-vehicle mishap.

A couple from the neighbor nearby said they were the first on the scene after a “frantic” female knocked on their door and asked them to call 911 before she left the scene in order “to get something from home.”

The driver of the pickup was a male, whom the neighbors said they found conscious and breathing.

The Boone County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.

Officers with the Perry Police Department responded along with the Iowa State Patrol,  Boone County EMS and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.
