A pickup truck overturned shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 near M Avenue, coming to rest upside down in the roadway.
The driver was transported to the Dallas County Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the mishap is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
A law enforcement officer said skid marks at the scene suggested the driver might have been indulging in “Dukes of Hazards” manoeuvers prior to overturning the vehicle.
Responding to the incident were the Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS.
