The Perry Little League will hold their 2016 Opening Ceremonies in the Perry Middle School gym Saturday. Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. and will include the introduction of all teams.
The PGSA will hold their Opening Ceremonies April 26 at Paul and Mary Ann Graves Diamond at Pattee Park. Team photos will be taken from 5-6:15 p.m. with a meal served at 6:15 p.m. The official ceremony and honorary First Pitch will take place at 7 p.m.
Scheduled tourneys to be hosted by the PGSA this spring include the 34th annual Harold Bailey Tournament April 30, with the 17th annual Paul Graves Tournament set for May 1 while the 18U Jayette Classic will be played May 8.
Plans are currently being developed for the inaugural PHS Alumni Game. The event will be held June 5, the day following the Paul and Mary Ann Graves Classic and will be played on Graves Diamond, the longtime home of the Jayettes. Preliminary plans include an alumni t-shirt, meal and a game, with a goal of raising funds to replace the scoreboard at the diamond.
