PACES Lights On After School event to be held Thursday

Longtime PACES Director Mary Hillman invited the public and the Perry Mayor and City Council Monday to the annual PACES Lights On After School fundraiser and celebration Wednesday and Thursday.

The multi-purpose room (cafeteria) at the Perry Elementary School will serve as the site for the annual Lights On After School event held by PACES (Perry’s Academic Cultural and Enrichment Services). Activities will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event focusing on of importance of after school programs like PACES, which is celebrating its 20th year of serving Perry. Students, parents, teachers, the public and, especially, former PACES students are encouraged to be present.

There will be guest speakers, a mayoral proclamation, a talent show performed by students and awards presented for the Lights On coloring, poster and essay contests. A free meal will be served for all at the conclusion of the activities.
