The Panora Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, beginning at the Michael Mills Memorial Park at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. or can be done online.

The Panora Walk to End Alzheimer’s helps to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s critical research, care and support across Iowa. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The Michael Mills Memorial Park is located on the southeast side of Panora at 350 E. South St. Walkers may also download the Walk to End Alzheimer’s app and participate at home or in your neighborhood anytime.

Every dollar raised through each Walk to End Alzheimer’s allows the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – the sixth-leading cause of death in the U.S. Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In Iowa more than 66,000 people live with the disease and 73,000 caregivers support them.
