PANORA — Luke South and Gracen Welberg scored 18 points apiece to lead host Panorama past Logan-Magnolia, 68-52, Saturday in an Iowa Pride game.

Iowa Pride contests are played as regulation games, save the outcome is not considered official.

Panorama fell into a 14-9 hole after one quarter, but used a 24-15 surge in the second period to open a 35-29 halftime lead. The host Panthers stayed hot in the third frame, outscoring the visiting Panthers, 19-12, to post a 54-41 advantage with eight minutes remaining.

The hosts drained 10 3-pointers, with Welberg hitting three, South, Malachi Peasley and Dylan Douglass two each and Trey Cobb one. Peasley finished with eight points, with Douglass and Blaine Barger each scoring six points. Four points from Connor Powell, three each from Cobb and Zac Rizzuti and two points form Dylan Perez capped the Panorama scoring.

Lo-Ma was led by 17 points form Kolby Morrison and 10 each from Nic Hiller and Jessup Lake.

The Panorama boys open their season Nov. 28 by hosting Des Moines Christian, with West Central Valley to visit Panora Dec. 1. The Panther boys and girls will continue playing twin sets on Dec. 2 with a trip to IKM-Manning, with the girls game starting at 1 p.m.
