Panorama claims road win against Woodward Academy

WOODWARD, Iowa — Four players reached double-digits in scoring to elevate Panorama past host Woodward Academy, 66-47, Friday.

The game was close for three quarters, with Panorama (12-5) holding narrow leads of 33-29 at the intermission and of 441-38 as the fourth quarter began.

At that point the lid came off the basket for the Panther offense, as a sudden 25-9 explosion over the final eight minutes created the 19-point margin of victory.

Braylen Dawes had a team-high 13 points for the guests, with Brice Taylor and Jared Wasson each scoring 12 points and Braedon Draper 10.

Maddox Hammerstrom had nine points for the Panthers, with Klayton Bremer providing five points, Austin Block three and Josh Van Winkle two.

Taylor hit 4-of-9 3-pointers and had seven assists, with Dawes distributing five assists. Wasson led the team with 10 rebounds, with Hammerstrom and Draper each clearing eight caroms.

Both Panorama teams will visit Woodward-Granger Tuesday before entertaining Des Moines Christian Friday.
