PANORA — A 10-6 win over visiting West Central Valley Friday followed a 9-2 home setback to Interstate-35 as Panorama saw their season record move to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in WCAC play.
The Panthers honored a pair of seniors Friday in Lindsay VanGundy and Sydney Vogel, and both played key roles in the victory for the home team.
WCV (1-11, 1-8) had a 2-0 lead until six Panthers scored in the second for a 6-2 Panorama lead. The Wildcats tied the game with four runs in the third, but a single tally in the bottom half of the third gave the hosts a 7-6 advantage. Three Panther runs in the sixth provided the final margin.
VanGundy finished with a single and three RBIs, with Vogel adding a base hit.
Grace Richey had three hits and Jaidyn Sellers two, with Claire Woodworth and Grace Webner each hitting a double. Jazmyn Sellers and Lindy Nelson both had hits as well.
Richey allowed six runs (three earned) on 11 hits. She walked two batters and hit two while striking out one.
Marissa Hagen yielded 10 runs (five earned) on eight hits and two walks in suffering the loss in the ring.
Zoey Dickson had three hits and Ellie Smith and Jenna Merical two hits apiece to pace WCV.
Richey pitched three innings against I-35 Thursday, surrendering six runs (three earned) on seven hits. She struck out one and walked one.
Tyme Boettcher threw four frames of relief. She allowed three unearned runs on six hits and finished with two strikeouts.
Shey Storesund had two hits for Panorama, with Jaidyn Sellers and Webner both providing a single and a double. Sellers had two RBIs, with Nelson and Storesund scoring for the hosts.

Panorama hosts Van Meter Monday, visits NW Webster Tuesday and then entertains Coon Rapids-Bayard Thursday and Boyer Valley Friday.
