Panorama ends conference play with win at WCV

STUART — The WCAC softball season will end with a 5-15 mark for Panorama after the Panthers scored a 9-4 win Tuesday over host West Central Valley, who finishes 2-18 in league play.

Panorama (10-20 overall) received strong pitching from starter Grace Richey, who yielded four runs (two earned) on eight hits but did not issue a walk. She finished with six strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings in the ring, with Lydia Knapp retiring two batters, one by strikes.

Knapp had the big stick for the visitors, driving in four runs with a double and two singles. Hannah Woodworth had a double and two RBIs, with Shey Storesund hitting a double and a single and Ashley Clark a single with a RBI.

Lindsey VanGundy had a single and scored a run, with Shey Storesund and Hannah Woodworth each scoring twice while Vallerie Storesund and Claire Woodworth and Knapp scored once each. Clark and VanGundy each stole one base, as did Sydney Vogel.

Panorama can match their 2018 total of 11 wins Friday when they travel to Kimballton to wrap their regular season against Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton.
