PANORA — Class A runner-up Grundy Center will visit Panora Aug. 28 as the Panorama football team opens their season with as stout a foe as the Panthers have seen in recent years.
Panorama will conclude non-district play Sept. 4 with a trip to Clarinda before starting five consecutive week of action in Class 1A District 8.
The Panthers will host Van Meter Sept. 11 before making trips to Woodward-Granger Sept. 18 and West Central Valley Sept. 25. Panorama hosts AC/GC Oct. 2 and Kuemper Catholic Oct. 9 in the final regular season game.
The IHSAA recently instituted a series of general changes and guidelines due to COVID-19. Among those are all teams playing a five, six or seven-game schedule, with all teams qualifying for the playoffs. Football specific guidelines were also announced.
Postseason play begins in Class 1A Oct. 16 with the Round of 64 games.
