The Panorama Panther girls took on Central Decatur High School Friday night and came out on top with a 74-32 win. The Panthers took charge in the first quarter and never looked back.

“Our defense and passing was impressive,” Coach Boettcher said. “We were able to jump out to a quick 10-0 run in the first two minutes of the game. It set the tone for the rest of the game.”

Jaidyn Sellers led the Panthers with 24 points and dominated the boards with 12 rebounds.

Zoey Hambleton was close behind with 22 points, with Tyme Boettcher adding 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds as well. Mia Waddle led the Panthers in assists with 6 and added 8 points. Jazmyn Sellers added 2 points as did freshman Addie Astley.

“It was a complete team effort of the win.” said Coach Boettcher. “We are proud of these girls!”

The girls will now play in the Regional final game Wednesday, Feb. 22 against Treynor at 7 p.m. in Harlan. If they win, they will advance to State competition.

The Panther boys lost their Friday night game to AHSTW by a score of 87-57.
