Panorama girls blow past host AC/GC

GUTHRIE CENTER — Seventh-ranked Panorama steamrolled host AC/GC Saturday for a 70-38 WCAC win to lift their overall mark to 7-1 and their conference record to 4-0.

AC/GC (0-6, 0-4) was in trouble from the beginning, falling in a 24-6 hole after just eight minutes of play and facing a 40-20 halftime deficit.

The speedy and harassing Panther defense came away with 22 steals and forced a bevy of turnovers. Hope Wilderman had eight thefts, Bailey Beckman and Devyn Kemble three apiece to lead the way.

Beckman lit the scoreboard for 27 points, with Kemble adding 19 and Morgan Johnk 12. Nicole Rolfes had five points, with Wilderman, Ella Waddle and Brooke Halterman each scoring two points while Anna Holloway hit a free throw.

Johnk had six rebounds and Wilderman and Kemble four each. Kemble had four assists and and Beckman and Wilderman three apiece while Halterman blcoked four shots.

Panorama hosts Madrid Tuesday before entertaining Van Meter Friday.
