STUART, Iowa — The Panther Girls traveled to Stuart Tuesday night to take on the West Central Valley Wildcats and came away with a 66-33 victory.

“Our defense creates opportunities for us in the transition game,” said Coach Boettcher. “Those openings left all the Panthers spots to score.”

The Panthers had three players in double digits: Tyme Boettcher with 16 points, Mia Waddle with 13 and Jaidyn Sellers with 11. Other Panther made single digits and showed strength at the foul line.

“We stayed patient and composed offensively, which gave us good looks at the basket,” Boettcher said. “I was happy to see our makes from the free throw line.”

The Panthers are now 14-1 overall and 11-0 in the conference.

The Panther boys also overcame the Wildcats for a 64-50 win.

After a shaky first quarter, the Panther boys hit their stride, with three scoring in double digits: Maddox Hammerstrom, Ethan Olsen and Breaden Draper. Other Panthers contributed as well in the single digits.

It was a tough and rough game, but the Panthers kept battling. Getting to the free throw line and drawing the fouls kept them going. Their determination and teamwork was shown on the floor to come away with the win.

Friday will see the Panthers at home against ACGC. The games will be the annual Panorama Pink Out to support breast cancer research.
