Panorama girls golf team swings to win Tuesday

MENLO — West Central Valley and the 5×80 Golf Course were the host to to girls quadrangular Tuesday. Panorama shot a combined 231 to win the meet, with host WCV, Earlham and North Polk also in action.

Maggie Smith won a cardback against teammate Madi Fear for runner-up medalists honors after both recorded rounds of 56. Cassia Labath had a 57 and Lauren McClartchey a 62 to also score for the Panthers.

Chloe Webster (69) and Savana Mobley (77) also made the rounds for Panorama, but neither had their score used for the team total.

The Panthers were also in action Monday, playing in the 18-hole Bondurant-Farrar Girls Invitational at Terrace Hills in Altoona.

PCM shot a 384 to win the invite, with Norwalk second at 405 and DC-G third at 408. Roland-Story (411), Panorama (266), Bondurant-Farrar (480), CMB (489) and Iowa Falls-Alden (523) completed the field.

Labath led the Panthers with a 105, 16th among individual finishers. Smith had a 110, Fear a 119 and McClatchey a 133 to produce the team total. Also making the circuit for Panorama were Webster (141) and Taylor Raibikis (143).

The Panther girls and Panther boys will join Earlham and Van Meter it traveling to Lakeside GC in Winterset for the Husky Coed Invite Friday. The Panorama boys host their invitational Saturday and the Panorama girls their annual invite Monday.
