Panorama girls take one of two in league action

PANORA — A 14-1 win over visiting Ogden Tuesday followed a 5-3 loss at AC/GC for the Panorama softball team.

The Panthers (6-8, 3-6) received a strong pitching performance from Grace Richey Tuesday. She yielded only one run (unearned) on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman. The senior struck out five.

Shey Storesund had a triple, a double, and a single while scoring twice and driving in one run, with Jazmyn Sellers, Claire Woodworth, Lindy Nelson, Grace Webner, and Caitlyn Sloss all had two singles apiece. Jaidyn Sellers hit a double, with Zoey Hambleton and Arilyn Steenblock each adding base hits while Claire Woodworth had three RBIs.

Richey was touched for five unearned runs on eight hits and five walks in Monday’s loss. She struck out three Charger batters.

Nelson had a double, with Storesund, Woodworth, Webner, Woodworth, and both Jazmyn and Jaidyn Sellers each contributing a single. Richey and Storesund each walked, with Storesund, Woodworth and Steenblock scoring while Weber and Jaidyn Sellers each drove home a run.
