TREYNOR — Despite leaving four weight classes open the Panorama grapplers produced three champions and three runner-up placings to finish second in the Treynor Invitational Saturday.

Treynor edged Panorama and St. Albert for top honors, as the three lead teams totaled 161, 158 and 157 points, respectively. East Mills (125), Southwest Iowa (100.5), OA-BCIG (43) and Griswold (16) also scored.

Logan Christe (126 pounds), Wyatt Appleseth (170), and Cooper Andersen (220) each finished first in their division.

Appleseth was 5-0 with three pins and two technical falls, with Christe 3-0 with two pins an a major decision while Andersen finished 3-0 with a trio of pins.

Ryan Fees was 3-1 with three pins to place second at 160, with Landon Goodenberger second at 182 with a 3-1 mark while 285-pounder Jared Henderson was 2-1 to place second as well.

Panther 145-pounder Kael Wirt was 2-2 in placing third, with Cayden Van Meet 1-2 to finish third at 152 pounds.

Also scoring was Maddox Nunn (113) and Colby Waltz (195), with the Panthers not contesting the 106, 120, 132 and 138-pound divisions.

Mt. Ayr, Van Meter and West Central Valley are scheduled to visit Panora Tuesday for a quadrangular, with the Panthers slated to travel Friday to the Central Decatur Invitational.
