Panorama netters finish fourth at Perry Invite

Nicole Rolfes scores a point for Panorama through the defense of Ogden's Gabby Ross at Thursday's Perry Invitational.

Panorama placed fourth in Thursday’s Perry Invitational, with the Panther netters finishing 1-3 overall.

The Panthers (3-9 overall) opened with a tight 21-16, 17-21, 11-15 loss to Perry, but bounced back to defeat Coon Rapids-Bayard, 21-12, 13-21, 15-11. The win avenged a 2-0 setback to host CR-B at their Sept. 2 tourney.

Ogden defeated Panorama 21-12, 21-10 to send the Panthers into the fourth-place match against Carlisle, with the Wildcats prevailing, 21-10, 21-13.

Kennedy Kuta tallied six kills and Hope Wilderman four, with Erica Block and Carson Fisher each adding one. Halterman, Johnk, Kuta, Rolfes and Wilderman had one block apiece at the invite.
