Panorama posts 2-3 mark at Saturday net tourney

COON RAPIDS — Panorama recorded their first two victories of the volleyball season Saturday while recording a 2-3 mark at the Coon Rapids-Bayard Invitational.

The Panthers (2-5) topped AHSTW, 21-15 and 21-14 before dropping a 21-16, 21-19 match to Atlantic. A 21-15, 17-21, 15-10 win over Paton-Churdan followed, with CAM tallying a 21-16, 21-19 win while CR-B notched a 21-18, 21-14 win over Panorama.

Brooke Halterman had 19 total kills and Morgan Johnk 18 to lead the Panthers, with Hope Wilderman and Kennedy Kuta making nine kills apiece while Nicole Rolfes added seven kills, Carson Fisher four and Erica Block one.

Kuta’s 34 assists paced the Panthers, with Olivia Richey recording a team-best 22 digs. Rolfes had eight digs, Halterman seven, Kuta and Block six each and Johnk five while Payton Douglass provided three digs and Widlerman two. Block helped the team with four assists, with Richey and Rolfes adding three apiece, Halterman and Johnk two each and Fisher one.

Halterman came away with six blocks at the net, with Fisher stopping three kill attempts. Block, Kuta and Rolfes all finished with two blocks each, with Wilderman adding one.

Kuta had a hot serving hand, finishing 44-of-47 with seven aces while Johnk was 34-of-40 with eight aces. Rolfes was 23-27-4, Block 25-28-2 and Halterman 19-24-1, with Wilderman 18-of-20 behind the line and Douglass 2-of-2.
