PANORA — The Iowa Girls Basketball Coaches Association has named Panorama sophomore guard Payton Beckman to their Class 2A All-State Second Team.
Beckman helped lead the Panthers to a 20-4 regular season mark and a 14-1 record in WCAC play for first year head coach Kylee Boettcher.
She scored 454 points (18.9 per game) and averaged 3.8 rebounds per outing. Her 116 made free throws was fourth-most in 2A and her 143 attempts sixth most, creating a shooting clip of 81.1 percent from the foul line.
Beckman was 56-of-164 (34.1 percent) on 3-pointers, placing her seventh in 2A in made treys and eighth in attempts beyond the arc. She had 104 steals, distributed 67 assists and blocked nine shots. The prolific scorer has 663 total points in her first two seasons.
