Panorama's Dominic Walker is safe at first when the ball, curling toward the runner, eludes W-G first baseman Brandon Worley during their game last season. The teams will meet -- for the third time this season -- for the District 13 Final Saturday. The game, at 7 p.m., will be held in Granger.

PANORA — The familiar grounds of their own diamond served as a comfortable backdrop for the latest pair of WCAC baseball games for Panorama, with the Panthers stopping West Central Valley, 13-0, in five innings Friday after besting Interstate-35, 7-0, Thursday.

Panorama (8-2, 7-2) was hardly challenged in either outing, allowing only one hit in each outing. The hosts scored 5-4-3 runs in innings 1-2-3 against winless WCV (0-12, 0-9), tacking on a 13th and final run in the fourth.

Luke South had two triples, a single, three RBIs and two runs scored, with Dominic Walker adding two singles, a double, two RBIs and two runs while Evan Taylor had two singles, a triple, three runs scored and one driven in.

Walker allowed a hit and two walks in four innings on the rubber, with Malachi Peasley pitching the final frame (the fifth) and hitting two batters with pitches.

Statistical information from WCV, and from I-35, was not available.

Drew Taylor started and threw 5-2/3 innings against the Roadrunners (2-6, 2-6) Thursday. He walked two batters and allowed a hit while striking out nine. Brice Taylor tossed 1-1/3 stanzas of relief, striking out three while walking one.

The hosts had scored once in the first, twice in the second and four times in the fourth to produce their winning margin.

Walker had a single and double and Evan Taylor two singles. Malachi Peasley provided two singles, with South scoring three runs to help spark the Panther attack.

Panorama hosts Glidden-Ralston Monday, visits SW Valley Tuesday and is at Woodward-Granger Thursday.
