The Panther Creek Church of the Brethren were well prepared for their annual ice cream social Sunday afternoon, and the attendance did not let them down.
The annual fundraiser supports youth programs in the congregation, said Pastor Dave Kerkove.
Among the hundreds attending the event were Dan Sanford, pastor of the Ankeny Church of the Brethren, and his wife, Marlene.
“They always have a good turn out,” Marlene said.
