Panther girls maul Hawks in regular season finale

WOODWARD — Panorama dominated all facets of Friday’s WCC girls cage contest with Woodward-Granger, improving to 15-5 overall and 12-4 in the conference with a 64-15 victory.

W-G (3-15, 3-13) had won their last two games but were never in Friday’s game, falling behind, 16-2, after one quarter and trailing, 26-4 at the half. By the end of the third quarter the continuous clock was in effect as the Panthers led, 46-10, en route to the 49-point win.

Riley Jamison had six points for the Hawks, with Riley Kirton adding four points, Kayley Dresback three and Magi Mallon two. Mallon had five rebounds in the loss, with Jamison, Dresback and Alyssa Bice pulling down four boards apiece.

W-G faces IKM-Manning (15-5), in Manning, tonight at 7 p.m. in their post season opener. The winner will travel to Rockwell City Tuesday to face South Central Calhoun at 7 p.m.
