Panorama's Kennedy Anderson (in helmet at left) is mobbed by teammates after ripping a home run last season. Anderson cleared the fence Tuesday as part of her three-hit, three-RBI outing.

GUTHRIE CENTER — Host AC/GC scored five runs in the first inning to, apparently, seize early control of Tuesday’s WCAC softball tilt with Panorama.[wpedon id=”82220″ align=”center”]

However, the Panthers (4-5, 3-4) managed to scrape together four runs to enter the sixth trailing just 5-4. At that point the scoreboard began flipping like a stock market ticker, as the guests went off for 13 runs to seize a 17-5 advantage.

To their credit, the Chargers (5-7, 3-6) did not just slink away, and managed to send two runners across the plate in their half of the sixth, but it was not enough to change the outcome, as Panorama posted the 17-7 victory.

Olivia Richey started for the Panthers but was quickly set upon, allowing five runs on four walks and a hit before recording an out. Grace Richey relieved and tossed six full frames, yielding two runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out one in collecting the win.

Kennedy Anderson was one of many offensive stars for Panorama, hitting a home run and two singles while driving in three runs. Claire Woodworth had three RBIs on a double and two singles, with Shey Storesund scoring three times and driving in a run on two base hits.

Lydia Knapp had three hits, three runs and two RBIs, with Grace Richey adding a hit and three RBIs. Hannah Woodworth had three hits and Nicole Rolfes two to aid the cause.

Statistical information from AC/GC was not available.

Panorama will play a varsity doubleheader at Woodward-Granger Thursday before participating in the AC/GC Tournament Saturday.
